The Spa at The Setai follows a strictly holistic approach which has dictated the range of product, treatments and applications offered. This practice does not just encompass spa treatments but extends through to food and diet menus, which can be formulated with specific health benefits in mind. Personal trainers are also available to offer individually tailored exercise programmes for guests.

The Setai appointed a Balinese spa consultant, Merli Suwendra, to train the hotels’ practitioners in the time-honoured application of Balinese healing and massage. Renowned natural products such as Ren and Sundari are used in conjunction with herbs, oils and spices to re-awaken the senses, release tension and restore energy.

Overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, The four spa suites at The Setai, complete with a steam room and rainfall showers, are available for couples. Treatments can also be taken in the suites, on the beach or next to the pools at the hotel.

The Setai Massage – Two therapists work in synchronised movements using a variety of techniques including Shiatsu, Balinese, Thai,
Swedish and Lomi-Lomi. A dynamic style to
dissolve deep muscle tension and calm the mind.
60 minutes - $300.

Ayurvedic Abhyanga – An ancient ritual to balance mind and body using rich therapeutic oil and a specific massage technique to balance each dosha
Vatta, Pitta or Kapha.
90 minutes - $240.

Traditional Thai – A healing massage originating from the royal courts of Siam. Stretching and deep pressure point work is concentrated over the “sen” lines to balance the flow of chi throughout the body for improved vitality and peace of mind. Loose fitting garments are provided as this is a non-oil massage. The massage is followed by the application of a warm herbal poultice to soothe aches and pains.
2 Hours - $350.

Oriental Tui Na – A therapeutic massage used in China for centuries to bring balance to body and mind. This non-oil massage focuses on acupressure points to mobilise the flow of Chi. 90 minutes - $285.
